Overview

A Clear Process for Families Who Want Structure

ALEA Academy was built to remove confusion. Families do not have to guess what to teach, when to teach it, or how to organize the learning experience week after week.

Instead, students move through a structured academic program inside a clearly organized portal, while parents guide the pace and support learning at home.

Simple Process

How the Program Works in 3 Steps

1

Enroll in a Cohort

Families enroll in either the Fall cohort or the Winter cohort. Each cohort moves through the semester together, creating structure and accountability.

2

Follow the Weekly Modules

Students complete lessons, assignments, applied activities, and assessments inside the portal each week according to the recommended pacing.

3

Grow With Support

Families receive ongoing structure through monthly live sessions, clear expectations, and optional Academic Review for added feedback.

Weekly Flow

What a Typical Week Can Look Like

ALEA Academy is flexible, but it is not unstructured. Families can implement the program in the way that works best for them while still following a clear weekly academic rhythm.

Families may also condense the program into four days or spread it differently based on their schedule. The goal is consistency, not rigidity.

Time Commitment

How Much Time Should Families Expect?

Most families should expect to spend approximately 10 to 15 hours per week on ALEA coursework, depending on grade level, student independence, and the pace of implementation.

Some students may move more quickly through certain tasks, while others may need additional support and time. The structure is clear, but the pace can be adapted within reason.

Recommended Planning Approach

  • Set a consistent weekly homeschool schedule
  • Choose 4 or 5 instructional days
  • Block time for core subjects first
  • Use one day for assessment and review
  • Build in space for project work and reflection
Parent Role

What Parents Do

ALEA Academy is designed to support families, not replace parent involvement. Parents remain the primary guides in the homeschool environment.

  • Log into the portal and review weekly lessons
  • Set the family’s academic schedule
  • Monitor assignment completion
  • Provide support and encouragement as needed
  • Maintain homeschool records required by their state
Student Role

What Students Do

Students are expected to engage with the content, complete assignments, and grow in independence over time.

  • Watch or review lesson content
  • Complete assignments with care
  • Participate in entrepreneurship activities
  • Take weekly assessments
  • Attend live sessions when possible
Getting Started

What Happens After Enrollment

Step 1: Enrollment Confirmation

Once enrolled, families receive confirmation details along with access instructions for the ALEA portal.

Step 2: Orientation and Start Here Module

Families begin with the “Start Here” module, which explains expectations, navigation, key documents, and how to begin the semester successfully.

Step 3: Weekly Pacing and Implementation

Students begin Week 1 and follow the recommended rhythm for lessons, assignments, and assessments.

Step 4: Monthly Cohort Support

Families continue through the semester with monthly live support sessions, accountability, and optional Academic Review if selected.

Optional Support

How Academic Review Works

Families who choose Academic Review receive additional feedback and guidance throughout the semester.

  • Submit one assignment per subject each month
  • Receive written feedback
  • Receive a suggested grade evaluation
  • Receive an end-of-semester Academic Performance Summary

Academic Review is designed to add clarity and confidence while parents remain the final authority in grading.
